Pitt Alumni Association Deliberative Dialogue series event held in partnership with the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences as a part of their Sciences Revealed series.
The global pandemic brought the status of our mental and physical health to the forefront this past year and highlighted the effects of stress on our well-being. The pandemic also brought attention to the disparities in healthcare access across different populations.

In this Science Revealed/Deliberative Dialogue collaboration—moderated by Pitt’s inaugural Associate Dean of Equity, Engagement and Justice Mario Browne—Pitt alumnae and faculty members Anna Marsland and Abimbola Fapohunda will discuss the impact that stress and other factors have on our susceptibility to viral infection and response to vaccination. They will also discuss the importance of taking action to address the long-standing disparities that have existed in health equity worldwide and in our local communities.
