Call out to all CHW’s, staff, and families who would be willing to help a local family shelter called Womanspace East (Monroeville) by assisting WPXI Channel 11-TV (11 Cares), Highmark Wholecare, and a host of other schools, churches, and businesses engage in a community volunteer project to collect hygiene items for the residents of the Womanspace East Family Shelter.
Attached is a one-pager on the WPXI-TV’s 11 Cares initiative the listing of items requested from Womanspace East Family Shelter.
Delivery of the hygiene items will take place at the Highmark Wholecare Center in East Liberty (6033 Broad Street, Pittsburgh PA 15206) on Saturday, May 6th. I am in the process of outreaching to other schools and churches, and any assistance passing the word to others would be appreciated.
Channel 11 will be onsite with a reporter and news coverage of the collection event from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
